Presentations give you the ability to bring a story to life in a visually compelling way. I worked on two major features that made slides more usable and modern. Giving customers the ability to edit the master slide and allowing them to choose 19:6 for their layout. In this example, I incorporated a surfing theme that I designed. You can read more about it on the Google Drive Blog More magic in Slides: editable themes and widescreen presentations.
Google Add-ons provides customers with new tools that give them access to more features, especially features that aren’t currently available through Google’s own products. I had helped lead this project, design the logo, interactions, setup partnerships, and even help write the technical documentation.
You can read all about it on the Google Drive Blog Bring a little something extra to Docs and Sheets with add-ons. It was nice to see it on TechCrunch Google Launches Add-On Store For Google Docs.
And here is the menu in action.
I was one of two designers that designed both iOS and Android apps for Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides. Unfortunately I don't have screenshots of those first designs.
It might not seem like much now, but in 2013, we needed a way to highlight and select items on iOS and Android devices. I helped lead that initiative which was later integrated into the core of Android. Other work around this made it into the first version of Google Material Design.
