About Me
Hello, my name is Kennedy. I am a entrepreneur at heart, a lead UX strategist by day, and a hacker on the weekends. My focus is UX design and front-end development for web, tablet & mobile applications. I live in the worlds largest small town in this crazy place called New York City with my wife Sara and two morbidly obese cats. When I am not being a geek I enjoy surfing, swimming, longboard skateboarding, and traveling. Fun Facts: I stand tall at 5' 18" and I am ambidextrous.

Events & Hackathons
I attend a lot of tech events, mostly here in NYC. You can often find me at Hacker Townhall, Hackers and Founders, Creative Mornings and NY Tech Meetup. I also work part time for 48 Hours Apps, a Root member for Hacker Union (fka NYHacker), and help lead the front-end development for StartupBus.
Here is a list of other events and hackathons that I have attended.

Designed the logo and both Android & iPhone UI for our team Lemonade Stand while on a bus traveling from New York City to Austin, TX. All the hard worked help the team reach the semifinals, finishing in the top 12 of 38 teams. Fun Note, I was so excited I did not take my first nap until I hit 50 hours, I was nicked named "The Machine."
The History
The original Kennedy’s Garage was open by my grandfather Theron Kennedy, in Lake of the Ozark, Missouri on February 29th, 1941. Granted 1941 was a different time and the business was building cars, nothing has changed as far as working hard. The key to his success was the relationships that he developed with his customers and the community.
Today I still value those traditions and enjoy the old fashion handshake. The original Kennedy’s Garage was shut down after the passing of Theron. I later reopened the name and wanted to keep the same values of my grandfather. Since then the family has moved away from building cars, we still have a deep passion for them, but now I build amazing ideas surrounding the internet.
